Skiing that feels like skiing
Most browser ski games are endless runners: you dodge trees and that is it. SIKRUN is built the other way round. The physics follow how real skis work, so you steer by putting the skis on edge. Hold an edge and you carve a clean arc; push harder and you slide into a skid to scrub speed. Tuck to go faster, plough or hockey-stop to slow down, skate on the flats. Speed comes from the slope, so a steep pitch really is fast.
There is no failure screen and no timer unless you want one. Zen mode lets you ride a whole mountain at your own pace, find the twelve golden snowflakes hidden on every course and simply enjoy the light.
Freestyle: backflips, spins and grabs
Crouch before a lip and release to pop. Steer while you load up and you spin; hold back for a backflip or forward for a frontflip; mix the two for corks and misties. In the air, hold the grab button for a Safety, a Mute or a Japan. Land straight and the announcer grades it: clean, stomped or perfect.

Real mountains, not a looping slope
Choose from seven hand-built mountains, from a forgiving powder gully to a big-mountain freeride face with stacked cliffs, a floodlit terrain park, a Japanese powder volcano and a Norwegian ski-to-sea run that ends on a fishing harbour. A Lake Tahoe map adds 30 runs on ten real mountains, built from elevation data, with chairlifts you can ride back up. See them all on the mountains page.
Race when you feel like it
Switch to Challenge and every trail becomes a downhill race: a countdown, slalom gates, a clock and a bronze, silver or gold medal. A ghost of your best run rides next to you, and you can send a friend a link to race your time. More on the ski racing page.

Is SIKRUN free?
Yes. The whole game is free, with no purchases, no paid currency and no ads. New gear and outfits are earned only by riding.
Do I need to download anything?
No. It is a web game: open sik.run in a current browser such as Chrome, Edge or Firefox and it starts loading straight away. Your progress is saved in your browser.
Can I ski with a controller?
Yes. Xbox and PlayStation style gamepads work for riding and for every menu. A keyboard works too, with the mouse to look around.
Does it work on a phone?
The game is made for a computer for now. Touch controls for phones and tablets are in development.
Is it a good skiing game for kids?
SIKRUN is a peaceful game: no violence, no chat with strangers, no ads and nothing to buy. Falling over just means a funny wipeout and another try.
Is there snowboarding too?
