A board that rides like a board
The snowboard in SIKRUN has its own physics, separate from the skis. It has a toe edge and a heel edge, and they do not feel the same: switching from heel to toe is quicker than the other way, just like on snow. Ride regular or goofy, and the game notices when you ride switch. Press the tail and release to ollie, press the nose for a nollie, and steer while you press to butter around on the flats.
Five boards change how it rides: an all-mountain stock board, a freeride board, a stiff carver, a powder fish and a soft park board for jibbing.
Snowboard tricks, named the way riders name them
Wind up while you load the pop and the board spins frontside or backside, 180, 360, 540 and up. Ride switch and a frontside spin becomes a Cab. Lean back off the lip for a Wildcat, forward for a Tamedog, or add a spin for a Rodeo, a Misty or a Double Cork 1080. Grab Indy, Melon, Nose or Tail on the way.
Stick the landing and the trick is called out in full, for example Switch Nollie FS 540 Indy. Every new trick name goes into your trick book.
A terrain park, a superpipe and backcountry
Voltage Park is a floodlit night park built for snowboarding: a judged slopestyle course with three rail sections, jumps and a mega kicker, a 22 ft superpipe and a 33 m big air tower. Line up on a rail to grind it, balance on it and pop off the end.
When you want something wilder, ride bottomless pillows and birch trees on Kitsune Peak, drop cliffs on Ravenspire, or hop from ridge to ridge on Dragonback. All of them are on the mountains page.

Is the snowboarding game free?
Yes. SIKRUN is free in the browser, with no ads and nothing to buy. New boards, bindings and outfits come from cases you earn by riding.
How do I switch from skis to a snowboard?
In the lobby, open the Locker and pick a board under Gear. The next run uses it.
How do I grind a rail?
Come down onto the rail lined up with it. Steer to keep your balance, tap the pop button to switch up, and hold and release it to pop off. The how to play page has every control.
Can I play with a controller?
Yes, a gamepad works for riding and menus, and so does a keyboard.
